on this freezing cold day | kelly + eric
i remember there was a time in my life when i didn’t care about how late it was. i wanted to stay up talking on the phone with ben because we were 3,000 miles apart. i didn’t care about how humid it was in the summer because i wanted to go with him outside and see the fire flies. i didn’t care how cold it was in january because i wanted to go visit boston and walk on old cobblestone streets holding hands.
it was young love.
sweet love.
i forgot what it was like until i was put in a place that forced me to remember those fond memories.
this is sarah‘s little brother eric, who was born and raised in new jersey. just a few days prior to our meeting, he had asked sweet kelly to spend the rest of her life with him. two days before they returned home to texas for school, sarah informed me that he and kelly were here in new jersey, only 25 minutes away. we communicated and set up everything for the next day. 24 hours later, we went out shooting in the cold.
it was 25 degrees plus windchill.
we even had some fresh coffee before we began, but my face was still numb. i couldn’t feel my fingers and i wasn’t able to speak well.
nevertheless, it was enough for them.
their love was on fire; they kept each other warm.
young love, sweet love.
as i am sitting here typing in the cold right next to the fire, i can’t help but get excited for the thought that sarah and i will see these two again on their big day in december, in a warmer TEXAS!! yeehaw!
but for now, on this freezing cold day, here’s kelly + eric.

blogging a wedding post has always been one of my favorite phases in a wedding process. i definitely enjoy meeting the couple for the very first time and feel that ‘click’. i most certainly love the adrenaline of creating images under pressure on the big day. i also thrive on looking at the images after the big day and re-living every moment all over again. but nothing wins over actually presenting the final story in a blog post. for me, using merely images to weave everything together so that the couple can read it over and over again is very rewarding.
even though we have been shooting together for two years, for the very first time, my good friend sarah and i have decided to combine both of our images together to make one post. for those of you who don’t know about sarah…she is an incredible artist. her ability to see life in such an extraordinary way never ceases to amaze me. it is so evident in all of the images she creates. i have been so blessed to have found her in the blogging world two years ago. although still learning, together we have experienced so much. while we thrive on seeing couples become man and wife on their wedding days, there is something more that we love and believe in.
we love a marriage that is ordained by the creator. we believe in prevailing against all odds in a marriage.
on this day, liz and dave promised each other before their loved ones that they will prevail.
it was more than perfect.
this is the wedding story of two people who love god, who trust in his plans and who can’t wait to spend the rest of their lives together woshipping him. like how they worshipped him on this day. with all their minds, all their hearts, all their souls.

liz + dave | coming soon (in a few weeks)
