Heather & Anothony {married!}

The first time I met this couple was at a coffee shop.  We had finally decided to meet up after a few email exchanges.  Heather was a sweetheart, and Anthony, semi-serious.  Our next meeting surprised me and put a big smile to my face.  Both of them were wearing jeans this time, casual, just being themselves.  It was then I realized I was about to photograph a very special wedding.  A special wedding with a very unique, artsy flair.

Artsy flair was an understatement.  When I saw Heather on her wedding day, I knew I was going to have a good time.  She was beautiful and stunning.  Sarah, who had helped me with my previous wedding, was going to be my partner again this time.  We had a blast.

And that is also just an understatement.

You see, Sarah and I had a blast trying to create.  Photographing this day became a bit of a challenge when my original plan of leaving the premise had to be thrown out of the window.  We got stuck working with concrete walls and dark hallways.  Thank goodness for a bride and a groom who were willing to do anything and everything they were asked–and went beyond that.  At the end of the day, Sarah and I looked at each other and agreed on one thing: that neither or us could wait to go home and see these images.

Congratulations, Heather and Anthony.  It was absolutely my pleasure to be a part of your special day.  When I left that day, I didn’t feel like I was at a client’s wedding.  I felt like I was at a friend’s.  I pray for a wonderful future for the two of you, and I also pray for our paths to cross again one day.

    Oh, I am just.stunned.again.

    You really do have a gift for this! I can’t believe how well you catch “the” moment. I feel like my shots are somewhere around that moment, close to it– but you always get IT. That kind of timing isn’t easily copied! And I think that’s a key part of your style and a uniqueness to your work. Just amazing again.

    And thank you, again my friend, for letting me tag along. I learn and grow and love each opportunity!

    Great shots, like always! I really like the one with the brides reflection on the bar, very creative Rosina.

    Wow, Ro – these are absolutely breathtaking! I love how viewing these makes me feel like I am getting to know the couple – that is a special talent to evoke that feeling through a photograph. I just wish I was at your house to see all of them . . . you didn’t post enough!
    Oh, and I am still bitter that you didn’t do this when I got married! no fair!
